  • Faces: automatically sort according to person being seeked: tag one photo, the computer does the rest, can confirm or deny any photo
  • Places: iPhone GPS sort by location that photo was taken (if feature is turned on)

What doesn't work for students:
  • overheads DO NOT engage!
  • fill out a worksheet, not allowed to speak
  • just using technology doesn't make a difference; how it's used, interactivity
  • content that is not related to the assessment

What DOES work for students (not personality, the activity):
  • debates, discussions, relevant topics
  • hands-on helpful videos, slideshows, a variety of formats
  • teacher doesn't stand in the front
  • student groups - ok if name drawn, but not randomly selected
  • how real world teaches responsibility, but school is controlling
